Until November, your first 4-week session is FREE for beginner/non-swimmers (18+), thanks to a Water Safety Grant supporting drowning prevention in our community.

Our Daytime Youth Enrichment Swim Program helps children build confidence, improve swimming skills, and stay active in a fun, structured environment. Swimmers are grouped by age and/or ability to ensure safe instruction and meaningful skill progression.

Age Groups

• Ages 4–7

• Ages 8–10

• Ages 11 and up (or swimmers whose skills place them at this level)

Class Structure

• Ages 4–10:
  Includes 30 minutes of instructor-led swim lessons and 30 minutes of supervised free swim.
  The order of lesson and free swim may vary depending on group placement.

• Ages 11 and up:
  45 minutes of instructor-led swim instruction focusing on endurance, stroke development, and water safety.

Skill Levels

• Beginner:
  Focuses on water comfort, basic swimming skills, and foundational techniques.

• Intermediate:
  Designed for swimmers who are comfortable in the water and ready to refine strokes and build endurance.

• Advanced:
  Emphasizes stroke technique, lap swimming, and introduces advanced skills such as starts and turns.

Swimmers may be placed based on ability rather than age to ensure the best learning experience.

Swim into aquatic fun with our YMCA Parent and Me Swim Lessons!  Designed for little ones and their caregivers, these engaging sessions provide a nurturing environment for infants to explore water safety and develop early swimming skills under the guidance of our certified instructors. Join us for interactive activities and bonding moments in the pool, fostering a love for water and promoting essential life-saving techniques. 30-minute Parent and Me swim lessons are for 6–36-month-olds. This water introduction program helps the child get used to the water and see the pool as fun.  Parents and children play games that introduce basic introductory water skills such as blowing bubbles, breath control, kicking and floating.

Make a splash with our YMCA Preschool Swim Lessons!
Perfect for little swimmers, these classes introduce the water in a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate way. Our certified instructors help preschoolers build comfort and confidence while learning foundational swim skills and water safety.

In this program, preschool swimmers focus on water acclimation, basic water movement, floating, kicking, breath control, and early stroke readiness. Lessons are designed to build confidence, independence, and a love for the water—one splash at a time!

Dive into fun and learning with our YMCA School-Age Swim Lessons!
Designed for kids of all skill levels, these classes provide expert instruction in a safe, supportive environment. Whether your child is building water confidence or refining their strokes, our certified instructors focus on skill development and water safety—while keeping it fun.

In this program, school-age swimmers work on personal water safety and basic swim competency. Skills include water acclimation, water movement, water stamina, and stroke development (introduction, development, and mechanics).

Class Options

• Weekend classes: 45 minutes, once per week

• NEW in April – Tuesday Evening Class!

  • 30-minute lesson

  • Followed by 15 minutes of supervised free swim

• Smaller student-to-instructor ratios for more personalized instruction
