Our Daytime Youth Enrichment Swim Program helps children build confidence, improve swimming skills, and stay active in a fun, structured environment. Swimmers are grouped by age and/or ability to ensure safe instruction and meaningful skill progression.

Age Groups

• Ages 4–7

• Ages 8–10

• Ages 11 and up (or swimmers whose skills place them at this level)

Class Structure

• Ages 4–10:
  Includes 30 minutes of instructor-led swim lessons and 30 minutes of supervised free swim.
  The order of lesson and free swim may vary depending on group placement.

• Ages 11 and up:
  45 minutes of instructor-led swim instruction focusing on endurance, stroke development, and water safety.

Skill Levels

• Beginner:
  Focuses on water comfort, basic swimming skills, and foundational techniques.

• Intermediate:
  Designed for swimmers who are comfortable in the water and ready to refine strokes and build endurance.

• Advanced:
  Emphasizes stroke technique, lap swimming, and introduces advanced skills such as starts and turns.

Swimmers may be placed based on ability rather than age to ensure the best learning experience.

Swim into aquatic fun with our YMCA Parent and Me Swim Lessons!  Designed for little ones and their caregivers, these engaging sessions provide a nurturing environment for infants to explore water safety and develop early swimming skills under the guidance of our certified instructors. Join us for interactive activities and bonding moments in the pool, fostering a love for water and promoting essential life-saving techniques. Register today to embark on this exciting aquatic journey with your child!

30-minute Parent and Me swim lessons are for 6–36-month-olds. This water introduction program helps the child get used to the water and see the pool as fun.  Parents and children play games that introduce basic introductory water skills such as blowing bubbles, breath control, kicking and floating.

There will be no lessons the week of March 23rd due to Spring Break.

Splash into fun-filled aquatic adventures with our YMCA preschool swim lessons! Tailored for children of preschool age, our expert instructors provide a safe and supportive environment where little ones can develop water confidence, learn fundamental swim skills, and foster a lifelong love for swimming. Through engaging activities and hands-on guidance, we aim to nurture your child’s water safety awareness and overall aquatic abilities, setting them on a path to enjoy the wonders of swimming.

Classes are 30-minutes in length.

Dive into fun and learning with our YMCA School Age Swim Lessons! Designed for children of varying skill levels, our engaging classes offer expert instruction in a safe and supportive environment. From building water confidence to refining strokes, our certified instructors focus on skill development and water safety. Join us to splash, learn, and make a splash-tacular splash at the YMCA

In this program, school-age swimmers learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency. School-age students will learn swim basics- water acclimation, water movement, and water stamina and also learn swim strokes- introduction, development, and mechanics.

Classes are 45-minutes in length, one day per week.

There will be no lessons the week of March 23rd due to Spring Break.
