Theme: Recycled + Natural Objects as Art

See new possibilities with recycled and natural objects as we
incorporate them into artworks. Reimagine a cardboard box or see the outline of a bird in a new way. We will create several 2-D and 3-D projects, including a painted project inspired by our November birthday artist, Georgia O’Keeffe.
All supplies included.

This class is an invitation to our growing artists to explore ideas, learn new skills and experience different art mediums. Participants will create 2D and 3D works through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media, cardboard sculpture, and fiber arts. Participants will learn about influential artists and movements, basic art elements, principles of design and color theory. Participants will complete several works over each 6 week session, working with peers and instructor to encourage a sense of community.

Each 6 week session offers a new area of concentration and exploration and is open to any participant regardless of previous participation.

Make Make Cancellation Policy: Due to materials preparation and value of limited seating, no refunds are issued for instructional programs.  
Participants may receive a credit for future programs by submitting a request no later than a week from program start date.

Process art builds a foundation for little creators to grow on. With guidance, participants will enjoy a short story time to inspire the day’s making, use a wide variety of art mediums and materials to complete several works over each 6 week session, all while working with peers and helpers to encourage a sense of community.

Each 6 week session offers a new area of concentration and exploration and is open to any participant regardless of previous participation. 

Art Buddies 2Y-3Y must be accompanied by caregiver for the full session.

Theme: Be a Printmaker!

Learn the exciting process of printing your own designs! Learn how to use tools to carve a print block and how to apply inks to create multiple prints. We will be printing on supplied papers but participants are welcome to bring cloth garments (ie tshirts, sweatshirts, totes) to experiment printing on during our final session.
No experience required.

Monoprinting is an exciting form of printing that yields a single one of a kind print. It couples perfectly with other art techniques that can be used to enhance the print.
Enjoy discovering this unique method to create a portrait using acrylic inks and layered watercolor that will bring your print to life.
No experience required.
All supplies included except for your subject image* 
*Please bring an 8.5″x11″ (or smaller) photocopied portrait (self or other) to work from. B+W or color is fine.
This is an invitation to participate in learning new creative skills that are highly focused on a particular art process over 1-3 sessions. Workshop participants will complete original art work to take home as well as the empowerment of a new skill set.

Open studio is held on Mondays from 3:30pm to 5:30pm and Fridays from 4:30pm to 6:30 pm.

This is an invitation to families and individuals (14 y.o. and under must be accompanied by an adult) to use the studio space and selected materials to freely create in a self-guided atmosphere (studio helpers are always happy to assist or guide if needed).

PREREGISTRATION is encouraged but not required. Open Studio is walk-in friendly however, space is limited and the studio may be full upon arrival.
